Our Process:
Every Prodigal Son job follows the same process — whether it's a single room or a full house. No guesswork, no surprises, no figuring it out as we go. You know exactly what's happening and when.
About OUR process:
-
You call, text, or fill out the form. We respond promptly. No phone trees, no bots — you're talking to a real person from the start.
Cabinet painting and restoration is one of the highest-impact, lowest-cost upgrades you can make to a kitchen or bathroom. We take what's already there and make it look factory-new — for a fraction of the cost of ripping everything out and starting over. Same layout, same hardware if you want it, completely different feel when you walk in the room.
-
We walk your space — in person or remotely with photos — and listen to what you want done. We'll tell you what you need, what you don't, and give you an honest quote with no hidden fees. We can often provide accurate estimates without stepping foot in your home.
-
Once you approve the quote, we lock in your dates. Smaller jobs can often start within the week. Larger projects are typically three weeks out. We confirm everything in advance so there are no surprises on either end.
-
This is where most painters cut corners. We don't. We move furniture, lay drop cloths, tape clean lines, fill holes, sand rough spots, caulk gaps, and prime where needed. Interior or exterior — nothing gets painted until the surface is ready to hold a finish that lasts.
-
Sherwin-Williams products, matched to the right surface, applied by a crew that knows what they're doing. Clean cuts, even coats, consistent coverage. We work section by section and keep the job site clean throughout.
-
When we're done, you walk the project with us. Every room, every wall, every detail. If something's not right, we fix it on the spot. We don't pack up until you tell us you're happy.
-
We clean up everything, put your furniture back, and leave your home the way we found it — just with better walls. If anything comes up down the road, you've got our number. We stand behind our work.
